Volunteer Training
Volunteers make a valuable contribution to the West Australian community in a wide range of areas, including the alcohol and other drug sector. The Drug and Alcohol Office supports the work of volunteers and offers training pathways for people wanting to become a volunteer.
This program trains and places volunteer counsellors to respond to the immediate and long-term needs of clients with alcohol and other drug-related harm.
This program recruits parents and guardians who have first hand experience of a son or daughter using drugs, and volunteers provide telephone and community support to parents across Western Australia.
