Government of Western Australia Drug and Alcohol Office

Client Services and Development

The Client Services and Development Directorate works with key stakeholders to plan, develop and resource a network of drug and alcohol treatment and support services across the state. The aim is to ensure all Western Australians have access to a range of services that are culturally secure and meet their needs.

Contracted services include:

  • residential treatment services
  • outpatient counselling services
  • specialist drug and alcohol services
  • sobering-up centres and detoxification services.

The Client Services Directorate coordinates the WA Diversion Program which aims to reduce crime by diverting drug-using offenders into treatment.

The directorate also operates the Alcohol and Drug Information Service, the Parent Drug Information Service and provides the Western Australian counselling component of Quitline, a helpline for tobacco users.
