Alcohol and other drugs in Australia: learning resource for migrant and refugee workers and community leaders

About this course

This resource aims to increase the knowledge about alcohol and other drugs (AOD) so that workers, students and community leaders from migrant and refugee communities may: 
  •  Understand harmful alcohol and other drug use in their communities 
  •  Provide help for those using alcohol and other drugs 
  •  Make a referral to services if needed 
Produced by Womens Health and Family Services and the Drug and Alcohol Office.

Target audience: Workers, students and community leaders from migrant and refugee backgrounds who are not familiar with alcohol and other drug services and laws in Western Australia.

Duration: approximately 3 hours
