About this course

This online training package covers material contained in the Western Australia Clinical Policies and Procedures for the Use of Methadone and Buprenorphine in the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (3rd Edition) relevant to pharmacy dispensing in the community.

Target audience: This training is designed for Western Australian Community Pharmacists delivering opioid pharmacotherapy treatment in the form of supervised methadone and buprenorphine (either as Suboxone or Subutex) dispensing to CPOP clients.

Duration: approximately 2.5 hours

Accreditation: The activity has been accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council for 2.5 hrs and 5.0 Group 2 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits upon successful completion of the assessment. These credits are suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.
