About this event
Preventing AOD problems within communities provides a significant challenge for AOD workers and other human service providers.This workshop will provide an introduction to the principles and models to understand and apply evidence-based AOD prevention strategies and facilitate effective community action; plan, implement and evaluate prevention activities; and engage stakeholders and the community in addressing AOD-related issues. Key State and National AOD prevention policy directions will also be addressed.
Topics will also include social marketing, community action and liquor licensing. This event is suitable as a refresher or for those without prior knowledge who wish to know more about preventing AOD problems using local and state-wide strategies.

While all events are free, places are limited and registration does not guarantee a place at an event. If you are offered a place, we ask that you make a commitment to attend.
