About this event

This training event is part of the Strong Spirit Strong Future Training Program.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a sensitive and complex issue. The Strong Spirit Strong Futue Project workshop provides information on alcohol guidelines, FASD and prevention strategies for professionals who are working with Aboriginal women of child-bearing age who may be using alcohol.

Skills for conducting brief interventions and screening for alcohol use will be included in the training. Participants wil receive culturally secure resources to support their work in this area.

Target audience

Health, education and community service providers who work with Aboriginal women, their families and communities

While all events are free, places are limited and registration does not guarantee a place at an event. If you are offered a place, we ask that you make a commitment to attend. If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible – as we may be able to offer your place to another applicant.
