Western Australia has both an adult and children's drug court, which aim to break the cycle of drug use and offending by facilitating treatment programs as part of the court process.

The Perth Drug Court operates in the Perth Magistrates Court; the Children's Drug Court operates in the Perth Children's Court. Other programs to address drug misuse are available in regional areas for people not able to access the drug courts.

While not all Drug Court programs are part of the WA Diversion program, they complete the range of court diversion options for people who have problems with drug use and are appearing in court.

Offenders are case-managed by a Court Assessment and Treatment (CATS) Officer who coordinates a program of supervised treatment tailored to the offender's needs.

For more information, see the drug court website or contact the CATS Officer on (08) 9230 2100.
