Cyrenian House is a not-for-profit non-government organisation that provides a wide range of programs, both residential and non-residential, for people with drug and alcohol problems.
Residential Program
The organisation's residential program is for a minimum of 12 weeks with the average stay being 6 - 12 months.
Set in a therapeutic community environment, the program includes:
- education groups
- counselling
- therapeutic group work
- art activities
- recreation activities
- community responsibilities.
Non-residential services
The organisation's non-residential services include:
- a voluntary program for people seeking treatment for difficulties associated with their drug or alcohol use use, and any other compulsive behaviour
- a family program to promote awareness, improve communication and encourage positive relationships within families affected by drug or alcohol use
- a conditional program for people seeking treatment for their drug or alcohol use as a result of contact with the courts, employers, Department of Correctives Services and Department of Child Protection.
