The Clinical Training and Placements service provides clinical training for undergraduate and postgraduate health professionals in the identification and management of alcohol and other drug use. The service located throughout Next Step’s clinical services in the metropolitan area also involves evidence based practice and research.

Placements and supervision under this program include general practitioners registrar, psychiatric trainees, general nurse trainees and psychology registrars. The program includes the co-ordination of clinical placements/secondments and the clinical staff development program.
